When you set out to make a fan film you never believe that you’ll actually catch the eye of your inspiration.
Yet John Stratman, content creator for JoBlo.com, was lucky, very luck in fact. Not only did Stratman’s creation get seen by Star Wars: The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson, but Johnson also shared it out to his large Twitter following, giving a lot more attention and praise for Stratman’s creation than would otherwise have been the case.
Here's something pleasant! Makes me want to replay Monkey Island. https://t.co/VX5WhvxtOh

What Stratman managed to achieve is a beautiful looking 8-bit trailer version for Star Wars: The Last Jedi and it is a perfect hit of all 80’s games that really takes me back. It’s beautifully crafted with the perfect soundtrack accompaniment to really hit home that nostalgia feeling.
