Naughty Dog says More Uncharted after The Lost Legacy is Unlikely

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End did thankfully give us a satisfying conclusion to the epic tale of Nathan Drake, fortune hunter and all-around badass guy, kind of an Indiana Jones but on steroids. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is a standalone DLC which focuses on Drake’s former flame, Chloe Frazer. Does this then mean that we’ll get to experience more adventures on other characters from the Uncharted world? Sadly not says Naughty Dog.

“I would say that Naughty Dog doing an Uncharted after this is unlikely,” company co-president Evan Wells recently told Game Informer. “I would never say never, but we’ve got The Last of Us Part 2 on our plates and there’s so much other stuff that [we want to explore]. It’d be hard. If we magically had that two-team, three-team studio, sure – it’d be great to keep doing it. We really love the franchise, but the studio has limited resources and lots of other ideas. I’d say the likelihood is low.”

For me I’m happy with where Uncharted finished and I’m ok with moving on from it now. It was a great series filled with brilliant characters but there is always the risk of having too much of a good thing, I’ll let Drake hang up his hat while he’s on a high. For me The Lost Legacy is just a nice bonus addition not the start of anything new.

How about you though? We’d love to know your opinion on this. Are you ok with leaving Drake where he is or would you rather have more Uncharted games from Naughty Dog? Let us know in the comments below…
